Ever found yourself caught in a seemingly never-ending spiral of Youtube cat videos (or similar)? Unfortunately we all have.
Short videos are entertaining – TED makes them productive!
TED hosts conferences all over the world (both official TED events and unofficial TEDx events) to bring together inspiring, informative and interesting speakers. The talks are short-form, typically 10 minutes, and are hugely diverse (e.g. talks by Bill Gates, Tony Robbins, David Blaine). Browse the site, find a topic of interest and go. A great way to spend a lazy afternoon.
Some TED talks I’ve recently recommended:
- Emilie Wapnick – Why some of us don’t have one true calling
- Larry Smith – Why you will fail to have a great career
